SVRCINA’s New Song ‘Hummingbird’ Reminds Us We Aren’t Alone

By: Justin Rouillon

SVRCINA’s latest single and album ‘1200 Beats per Minute’ both take inspiration from the hummingbird – a bird that can be both still and extremely active at the same time.

Christian artist SVRCINA has released her latest radio single, Hummingbird, which reminds us that God is closer than we realise.

The L.A. based singer-songwriter is known for her ethereal voice and emotionally charged songs that include Lucid, Loyal, Something Beautiful, Next Generation, and Flowers.

Her genre spans pop and electronic music, while her lyrics often delve into themes of resilience and emotional strength, reflecting her personal journey and struggles.

SVRCINA says that Hummingbird, personifies the character of a hummingbird.

“When they fly, hummingbirds can appear completely motionless. A miracle of fitness and form, God made these creatures to be a delicate display of a paradox: they are still, and active at the same time.”

The hummingbird also provided inspiration for SVRCINA’s latest album ‘1200 Beats Per Minute’, with the title a reference to how fast a hummingbird’s heart beats. She’s told her social media followers that the record, a concept album in the truest sense, is a metaphor for things that can make your heart race.

“As I was sitting with all the songs, I was hearing different threads where this could be true – taking risks in life, chasing a dream, falling in love, confronting difficult situations or having anxious and nervous tendencies.”

“Hummingbirds also remind us that when God seems invisible, He may just be moving faster than we can see,” she suggests.
