One of the latest buzzwords is “nepo babies”.
A “nepo baby” is a child of a famous parent who succeeds in that parent’s industry. Usually in arts and entertainment.
Big names include Miley Cyrus, Dakota Johnson, and Kate Hudson.
Nepo babies seem to enjoy an unfair advantage.
But before we tut-tut too much, isn’t Jesus the original Nepo Baby? He gets to be God just because he’s the Son of God? What’s with that?
But Jesus shows that being God isn’t as glamourous as it sounds. Being God means you serve, save, and die for those you love.
But because of that, we become family with God – as his children.
The bible says we become co-heirs – or co-nepo-babies – with Jesus. We inherit both the suffering and the glories that go with being nepo babies of God.
But sadly that doesn’t mean you get a movie career. For that you still need stunning blue eyes and super high cheekbones.
