Bluey continues to capture the hearts of both parents and children alike, racking up a massive 737 million viewing hours in the US.
This means that the Australian production is the number one ranked show in America, beating out other prime time and audience favourites such as Succession, The Big Bang Theory, NCIS and Grey’s Anatomy.
The series, which is produced by Brisbane’s Ludo Studio, was commissioned by the ABC and BBC, and has a global broadcast deal with Disney in all territories outside Australia, New Zealand and China.
“This is an incredible thing for a seven minute animated series from a beautiful team,” said Bluey executive producer Daley Pearson . “Thank you so much for sharing and watching.”
The global success of Bluey has shown off Brisbane to the world, and sparked interest from tourists to come and see the hometown of Bluey.
Bestselling author Julia Quinn (Bridgerton) went on a sightseeing tour of Bluey sights earlier this year, when she was here for a number of conferences and speaking engagements.
This achievement continues an exciting start to the year with Bluey winning the 2023 Kidscreen Award for Best Animated Series – Preschool; Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show touring the U.S. for the first time and Bluey’s second album, Bluey: Dance Mode, featuring 17 brand new tunes from across all three series released last month.
You can watch all three seasons of Bluey on ABC iview.
