The Ultimate Anti-Ageing Secret

By: Dr Eliezer Gonzalez

Here is the greatest antiaging secret of all! Did you know that cosmetics marketing was valued in 2022 at $639 billion U.S. dollars? Antiaging is one of the biggest industries in the world.

However, just as a interesting comparison, the global defence and armaments industry, which is valued at $2,113 billion. It seems that as much as we want to look good, we still want to kill one another more! That just goes to show how twisted humanity is!

Getting older, and even dying (hopefully a long time away yet), is a reality that we will have to face.

I’ve always said that there are two types of old people: the sort that becomes grumpier and crankier, and the sort that becomes progressively kinder and gentler. I wouldn’t know much about growing old just yet, but when the time comes, I’d like to think that I’ll be of the latter sort.

What if You Didn’t Have to Grow Old?

The idea of growing old is a funny thing. It can be a truly special time of slowing down, reflection and learning, contributing to others, and valuing relationships. However, the reality is that, ultimately, the process of growing old is a process of gradual decay, that ends in death. If you think that there’s something beyond death, then you at least have that, but if you don’t, then that’s it. Exit, stage left!

It doesn’t sound great, which is why there is a whole anti-aging industry, encompassing from everything from cosmetics and supplements that promise to be the fountain of eternal youth.

But what if you didn’t have to grow old? What if, hypothetically, you could actually grow young? What if you could simply avoid growing old and just go on forever? What if you could live your absolutely best life and just keep living… on and on! What if you could access the greatest antiaging secret of all!

Well, I’m a follower of Jesus, because I believe that you can!

Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life (John 5:24.)

After examining the evidence I have accepted that Jesus was who he said he was, and that he did what the Bible says he did. I have accepted that he died on a Roman cross, and that he returned alive from the dead. I believe that he did it to be able to save us from our sin and to overcome death on our behalf.

So, if Jesus says that I can live forever if I have chosen him, then I believe that too! It’s the ultimate anti-ageing secret.

It All Goes Back to the Cross

This anti-aging secret isn’t just some “airy-fairy,” “pie-in-the-sky” concept. It impacts every aspect of our everyday lives.

I have known people who are tired, not just your ordinary end-of-the-day tired, but tired of life. The Bible tells us that,

those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint (Isa. 40:31.)

This is what hoping in the Lord means. It not only means trusting in the Lord for everything in a general sense, but in his greatest promise of all, that if we believe in Jesus we have eternal life. When you really take hold of that, the weariness of the world will fall away, and you will have renewed strength for living in every situation you may face today.

It all goes back to the awesome sacrifice that God made on the Cross, through the person of His Son. He took our weakness, decay and sin, so that through his death and resurrection, he might give the everlasting, undying strength of the life that proceeds from him. It doesn’t get better than that.

So, infinitely above all the supplements and creams, I’ve discovered the ultimate antiaging secret. I hope you do too.
